Abous Us
Our organization was born from the desire to make a change in the community of Ilfov county. Although many localities are in the immediate vicinity of Bucharest, the capital of Romania, there are many places where children drop out of school, they do not have enough resources, adults do not benefit from a stable job. They feel ashamed of their condition and their training, so they feel discriminated against and excluded from the community.
Our association carries out activities dedicated to supporting people from disadvantaged backgrounds and Roma ethnic communities in Ilfov county, with the aim of promoting social inclusion, access to education, health and economic opportunities. Key initiatives include:

Education and training
- Organizing literacy courses, support for continuing studies and vocational training programs for young people and adults.
- Extracurricular activities for children, such as creative workshops, foreign languages or digital technologies.

Socio-professional integration
- Professional counseling and support for integration into the labor market, including partnerships with local employers.
- Entrepreneurship programs for people interested in developing small businesses.

Social and medical support
- Health campaigns (free medical checks, information on disease prevention).
- Providing material assistance such as food, clothing or school supplies.

Combating discrimination and promoting multiculturalism
- Organizing cultural and educational events to celebrate diversity and increase acceptance in the community.
- Information and advocacy sessions for human rights and combating stereotypes related to the Roma ethnicity.

Community development
- Active involvement of the community in the decision-making process by creating local working groups.
- Collaborations with local authorities and other organizations for infrastructure projects and basic services in marginalized communities.
